Veedersburg, Ind - Miss Veda Dark, 72, of Veedersburg Rt 2 died 1:15 a.m. Firday June 22, 1979 at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville, Indiana after suffering a heart attack. She was a seamstress, who had lived in Crawfordsville the past 15 years. Miss Dark was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Crawfordsville. Born August 29 1906 near Kingman, Ind she was the daughter of Clarence Jay Dark and MInnie Payton. Survivors include a brother, Marvin Dark of Veedersburg Rt 2; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ruth Paxton and Mrs. Marylea Grimes both of Crawfordsville and Mes Lela Foedge of Veedersburg; and sev. nieces and nephews. Two sisters preceded her in death. Serv. will be 2 p.m. Monday at Dickerson funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Lester Vanest offic. Burial in Kingman Fraternal Cem. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Veedersburg - Veda Dark, 72, of Rt 2, Veedersburg died Friday morning in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville. A resident of Crawfordsville for 15 years, Miss Dark was a seamstress. She was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church at Crawfordsville. She was born in Kingman August 29, 1906, a daughter of Clarence J. and Minnie Payton Dark. She is survived by a brother, Marvin Dark of Veedersburg; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ruth Paxton and Mrs. Marylea Grimes, both of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Lela Froedge of Veedersburg and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters. Services will be at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Lester Vanest officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday.
